MOZILLA OPEN SOURCE SUPPORT AWARDS
Mozilla is announcing today the creation of a COVID-19 Solutions Fund as part of the Mozilla Open Source Support Program (MOSS). Through this fund, they will provide awards of up to $50,000 each to open source technology projects which are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in some way.
As part of the COVID-19 Solutions Fund, they will accept applications that are hardware (e.g., an open source ventilator), software (e.g., a platform that connects hospitals with people who have 3D printers who can print parts for that open source ventilator), as well as software that solves for secondary effects of COVID-19 (e.g., a browser plugin that combats COVID related misinformation).

The Entire procedure is super simple
Download the OS for your device Download & Install Balena Etcher Flash the OS to an SD card and power on the device Now you are part of the Global fight against COVID-19
Device : Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB
SD : 32 GB Samsung EVOA High bandwidth speed connection is NOT compulsory. Since the calculations happen inside your raspberry as a host, with little interaction with the network. You get packages, you compute them (~24h), you send them.
The data consumption is not high, I couldn't monitor it separately today. I will update it.

The Fold for Covid project aims to make it easy to donate spare compute capacity to support COVID-19 research with a few simple steps. This effort contributes to the Rosetta@Home project, led by the Baker Laboratory at the University of Washington, which uses distributed computing to help scientists and doctors find potential treatments for COVID-19.
Your contributions help researchers look for proteins that bind to the famous “spike” protein on COVID-19. By finding these binding proteins, doctors hope to develop medicines that prevent the virus from entering healthy cells.
